Peer Review and Publication Ethics
CGI is committed to the peer review process of all manuscripts submitted including those from editors or editorial board. The reviewers selected for each manuscript are unaffiliated to authors or their institution. In case the editorial member intends to submit manuscript for the upcoming issue, he/she exits the review and editorial processes for the same issue, does not contribute to any role till the issue is finalised. All reviews are conducted by at least two independent reviewers submitting detailed reports on all aspects of the manuscript quality and rigour. We undertake all steps to uphold academic integrity of each published paper. Our processes are build to deter conflict of interest.
Plagiarism
All manuscripts are subject to plagiarism check and CGI holds strong aversion to plagiarised manuscripts. Submitting plagiarized content, even if it is unintentional, tantamount to injustice to the original researchers as well as damages your reputation. Authors are requested to take special care to avoid any sort of plagiarism and avoid a tarnished reputation and being subjected to legal ramifications. If author has got his/her paper checked for plagiarism , the report of same can be annexed to the article. We desk reject plagiarised manuscript.
Examples of plagiarism include:
- Word-for-word copying of portions of another’s writing without enclosing the copied passage in quotation marks and acknowledging the source in the appropriate scholarly convention.
- The use of a particularly unique term or concept that one has come across in reading without acknowledging the author or source.
- The paraphrasing or abbreviated restatement of someone else’s ideas without acknowledging that another person’s text has been the basis for the paraphrasing.
- False citation: material should not be attributed to a source from which it has not been obtained
- False data: data that has been fabricated or altered in a laboratory or experiment; although not literally plagiarism, this is clearly a form of academic fraud.
- Unacknowledged multiple submission of an article for several purposes without prior approval from the parties involved.
- Unacknowledged multiple authors or collaboration: the contributions of each author or collaborator should be made clear.
- Self-plagiarism/double submission: the submission of the same or a very similar article to two or more publications at the same time.
Journal Archiving Policy
We have an online manuscript submission and management system used for archiving the issues through our website (self-archiving). We allot DOI to each manuscript once it is published. The past issues have been archived and are available for download, without any fees.
